Well after having a great time in Rend Lake, we headed straight for Memphis to pick up the truck and the rest of our belongings. The plan was to take it all to storage in AZ til we finished the rest of our planned trip....TX and then the entire coast of CA. Saddly this was not to be. As we were getting into Ripley, TN, 'Babe' broke. The drive belt and back tire needed attention. (see poor Babe being towed and fixed) This set us back a week and $700!!
The NEW plans were to just get to AZ as cheap as possible and get ourselves settled in and working. Since we were relatively close we decided to go through Arkansas and the Ozarks to get to OK so Annette could see her long lost Aunt and cousin she had just found again after 33 years!!
We're coming Aunt Patsy, put the coffee on!!! ha ha
We saw some awesome scenery, to be sure, but let us give you fair warning......do NEVER drive through the Ozarks towing ANYTHING!!! Annette was nothing but a frazzled puddled by the time we got to OK.....the mountains and more than 3000 lbs. being towed made for a stressful ride!!
Lucky Ford got to enjoy the whole thing on the Harley!! We still got some great pics and did lots of stops!!....enjoy.....
